Summit Theatre Group has many opportunities for people outside of the stage.  There are short term opportunities meeting and greeting people at each show taking tickets and organizing 429221_338037972896526_247122004_nsocial events or just helping out where needed.  An opportunity to meet lots of people and make new friends.

 

 

 

We also have many long-term opportunities to get involved aaaain on several various committees and even step up to leadership roles.   These groups are essential to the success of Summit Theatre Group.  Here is a list of opportunities:

Business Development Director

  • Identify the most important audiences, decide what to communicate to them, and the best media to use
  • Research and initiate the best methods for gaining patron and advertising support
  • Actively recruit patrons and program advertisers
  • Keep patrons up to date with organizational news
  • Create a patron newsletter
  • Coordinate patron activities
  • Have fun and enjoy being a part of STG

Marketing/Publicity Director

  • Offer strategic collaboration with various parties on ticket pricing
  • Seek to gain awareness and positive image for the organization
  • Promote specific productions, events or services
  • Be a spokesperson within the arts community as needed
  • Organize and/or promote promotional events and conferences
  • Coordinate and oversee photo sessions for public relations and marketing purposes
  • Oversee the archiving of all press clippings, video clips, radio tapes and photo library
  • Have fun and enjoy being a part of STG

Graphics Designer

  • Work with the Marketing/Publicity Manager to create an in-house newsletter, a season brochure, and brochures about the organization and its services
  • Design, gather information for, and oversee printing of the program for each production
  • Design and/or be responsible for placement of ads in the media
  • Maintain and update the company’s website, or work closely with the person who does this
  • Have fun and enjoy being a part of STG

House Manager

  • Be responsible for the smooth operation of the house during the run of the show
  • Supervise recruiting of all house workers, such as ushers, greeters, and refreshment/souvenir sellers
  • Coordinate opening times on show nights with stage manager
  • Check restrooms after intermission and at the end of the night
  • Clean the house area and restock supplies
  • Call for assistance in the instance of an emergency
  • Have fun and enjoy being a part of STG

Box Office Manager

  • Manager box office operations
  • Schedule box office sales staff
  • Handle patron ticket complaints and find a resolution
  • Maintain the list of season ticket holders
  • Be responsible for all money from box office transactions to the organization’s treasurer
  • Have fun and enjoy being a part of STG

Ushers Chair

  • Be responsible for the safe seating of patrons at all performances
  • Distribute programs to patrons at all performances
  • Enforce the organization’s standards regarding food, beverage, and distractions in the auditorium
  • Be responsible for patrons’ safe exit after performance
  • Have fun and enjoy being a part of STG

Concessions Chair

  • Be responsible for the sale of food, beverages, and/or merchandise
  • Develop and implement a concession plan for the organization which includes supplies and inventory needed for operation
  • Train and recruit volunteers to work the concession stand
  • Have fun and enjoy being a part of STG
